Here comes Friday
With the end of the world happening this Friday (http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/maya-world-end.html), I thought I’d get one last post in before my blog is destroyed along with our local pub and footy team.
But maybe it’s already happened and we just didn’t notice. It could have happened one night last century with no audio/visual effects. Maybe we’re already in Heaven or Hell (your perception), and we just haven’t realized. If this is Heaven, then there’s possible room for improvement. If it’s Hell, then who would risk complaining?
Anyhow, getting back to reality, the end of the world is not going to happen this Friday or any time in the foreseeable future. Can you just imagine Heaven and Hell trying to cope with such a sudden surge of humanity all needing to be processed at the same time? No way.
I have a feeling those two establishments will be relying heavily on climate change to be the catalyst of our demise. This way, there’ll be a steady flow of the worldly departed being registered by their admin staff, with no further discomfort being suffered by us.
As I say, it won’t happen, but just in case a half-hearted attempt is made to destroy us, I’ve stocked up on food and drink, and have set the “disaster cam” to record it for our great grand children (assuming they’re not wiped out by some future predicted disaster).
And to those of you who make it past Friday, have a great festive season (if that’s your thing), and a prosperous new year.
